I want to go to Japan!!

So everyone who knows me really knows I want to go to Japan. Since my early stages of life, Japan has been a part of my life. Like a lot of young people, I was really interested in anime. As I watched more anime, I was able learn more and more about Japanese culture. Once I hit middle school I started studying Japanese, and since then I have been taking Japanese classes up into college.

Now I am at Western Michigan University and I am currently enrolled as a Global International Studies major with a Japanese minor. I am in the Japan Club and I am very involved. Since I have joined Japan club I have made many Japanese friends that I could never forget. And since I have made these friends, they have encouraged me to study abroad in Japan. Now studying abroad is all I think about.

Right now my first choice is Daito Bunka. They only have about 5 English speakers total at the university. So if I went there I would have to totally immerse myself into the culture and it would force me to learn the language. My second choice is Rikkyo. The Japanese program isn't that great there, but they have a good social atmosphere that would allow me to learn conversational Japanese.

Right now I am having some minor disagreements with those in authority, but I am optimistic that things will turn out for the best!

Ok now its time to work on my 14 page paper for Japanese history!! Wish me luck!!
